OK, you guys yourself are pointing out that everything goes in Pakistan, but doesn't happen in the open. For example
Why do you need to know where it is happening? Why is it not like Dubai or Malaysia? Something must be different about Pakistani mentality that these things are not advertised out in the open. Is the environment in Pakistan just like Dubai or Malaysia when it comes to drinking and partying?
Can anyone go get alcohol in Dubai? Yes. Can anyone get alcohol in Pakistan? That depends on whom you know. And we are not talking bhung or something.
Firstly you need to consider this Malaysia and Dubai have a very large tourist industry and the majority of tourists are non-Muslim so they require drink etc . So it is in the open but it would not be tolerated if Muslims got caught drinking, you need to remember these countries have separate laws regarding Muslims and other religious groups. In Malaysia a Muslim must follow sharia law, it is different for non-Muslims. Regarding alcohol in Dubai you need an alcohol licence to buy it and these are issued to non Muslims. So if your a sister or brother and get caught you are gonna do time (Muslims might and try to hide behind American or British passport). Prostitution is not tolerated for e.g a non Muslim British man and women caught having sex on a beach in Dubai and got sent to prison. The only people that get away with stuff in those countries have money and connections. An ordinary joe like me or you would be in jail.
Secondly Pakistan interoperates Sharia and civil law it is neither one or the other. It does not have a large tourist population which consists of non-Muslims so the law is the same for everyone. In Pakistan alcohol is forbidden if you have money and frequent high paying restaurants/ hotels you can get anything you need if you have money.
Thirdly it is an open secret not something that goes on underground. If you are poor and get caught it is straight to prison . If not then people are gonna turn a blind eye. Also concerts and stuff did happen openly with TV etc before the suicide bombs (i saw one happening when my uncle drove me and my cousins around some big park in Lahore). Also anyone can get girls. boys, drugs, guns, alcohol etc you go out on the street and ask someone they will take you there all you need is to be streetwise and then your all fixed up.
In the pretext of cloths we don't have nice beaches in Pakistan and if you are gonna wear anything more revealing outside it is not against the law but all those men who stare at a women covered head to toe are gonna die of heart attacks considering the typical pakistani diet.
