BBQ: You cannot selectively choose to believe in one thing and not another. religious people denied that earth was sphere initially but when they could no longer deny then they intreperted religious books in such a way that made it easy for them to accept the fact. same thing happened with other scientific facts.
denying facts only drags a religion behind , accepting facts is a good service u can do to the gods. If you are afraid that somehow science will prove your religion wrong then my friend you need a stronger faith.
especially bother pysah needs faith in god who only preaches but cant answer anything about it.

The book that I believe in had already told people that the earth wasn’t a sphere, that the earth revolves around the sun and not vice versa, that the light of the moon is not its own light, that the universe was created with a big, powerful explosion (the big bang theory) etc etc etc so why in the world would I be insecure of science if it actually backs all this up?

For you, it’s either science or the word of God. For me, it’s both. “Science without religion is lame, religion without science is blind”. So let me selectively choose to believe in what makes sense to me and I’ll let you do the same.
