Not just Paki, a Nepali friend tells me that 'o hasina zulfon wali jane jahan', 'chota sa ghar hoga', 'kancha re kancha re' are originally Nepali tunes. Usha Khanna lifts from West Asian music. Bappi Lahiri and Anuu malik lift from anywhere. RDB lifted sometimes Rabindro. Salil/Bhupe Hazarika/ Naushad lifted from folk tunes (Naushad's 'Jab pyar kiya to derna kya' is originally Awadhi folk tune.) Sometimes even tamil tunes. Take care. I have stopped bothering about that. All I hope these days is that they lift really good tunes.
well…i think we’ll all agree that Pakistani music has been doing realllly good. Not just the traditional kind but the modern type as well…Junoon, Haroon Rashid… i could mention so many names. Even Vital Signs songs have been copied by Indians.

i just think indian music is really good..only juned jamshed and that girl shazia are good from Pakistan..rest suck..specially the junoon
whoa!! hold on there. why r all these bands all over the place then?? I mean, why is junoon famous Internationally??? Vital Signs is history, they were never sooo good anyway. Junaid Jamshed’s new album however, is way better. Sorry, but u have a wierd “sense of music”

And as for indian music, dont u get it?? Its all basically reproductions of the Pakistani ones, i can mention names if u want in addition to what Desert Fox has said. I mean, come on! even the Indias admit it, the proof is right there in front of you, in all the movies

well everyone has a different taste i guess..i bought few albumbs of junoon..i forward every song thinking maybe next one would be better and the album ends...seriously i really wish we had better music..nusrat fateh ali was the only talent pakistan had..few of the songs by juned jamshed r really good though
You don't get the point Sheraz, there have been most of the India music directly copied from the Pakistani music.
As for NFAK's music goes, I don't think they copied it because India loved NFAK's music, he was also on the tour in India awhile back.
And samething goes for Junoon and Ali Haider.
Yes its tru, there has been some music copied from Vital Signs many times.
Pakistan also came up with the idea of pop music bands Vital Signs etc. then years later India started copying us too.

i know they do copy some songs, and they do a good job at that also..Pakistan doesnt have any sonu nigam or sukhbir, we have to give credit where its due
Just for the record sonu nigam aint anywhhere near Sukhbir and half of the Pakistani solo artists are better than sonu nigam.But the indians so copy stuff from our artists,thats a fact.

Hang on a minute, if they did not copy NFAK then where uis tune "Tu Cheez Bari Hai Mast Mast" from film "Mohra" come from?
I can also know few aother NFAK tunes copies by indians but cannot remmber which film they are from. Anyway I think among indian musician the worst is Anu Malik, He copy musci from everywhere and then put his own label.
At least old muscians had decentsy to say that they inpired by Pakistan tune or Music so that is why they copy the tune.
The reason Indian music directors copy Pakistani music is cuz, though Indian music is listened to world wide, yet Pakistani music still has a aura to it. The older Indian songs had lyrics and music, a rhythm which went together, but the ones being produced now, sound like nursery rhymes. Well, most of 'em. Whereas, Pakistani music old or new, has a essence which can not be beaten. And when Pakistani music is copied, it loses its authenticty thus not producing the same effects. The most recent and worst example of it is the song "Honntoon nay tairay naam maira liya," sung by Shazia Manzoor and Waris baig. It was copied into something like, "tum ko daikha to dil nay yeh kaha," sung by Alka Yagnik and Kumar Sanu, in some recent movie. It's just not the same.
I agree with u they do copy music from every where Like Nasha ya pyaar ka nasha hai movie MAAn" the real song is an Itlian song.They copied it.Like many more.
