I dont know about whats being discussed here, but I do know one thing...
Indian movies can never be a match against Hollywood. I can tell you that right now...
Why should Indian movies try to "match" Hollywood ? Should that be the benchmark for judging good movies ? Why should we have to believe that everything American (or European) is the best. Have some pride in your country's goods for a change.

Agreed Ramesha..........the point was that you guys need to change your attitude regarding something that is not American. I'm not a big fan of Hindi movies myself..but I think the Indian film industry has the talent to match any industry in the world. You should feel the same way about the Pak film industry. By ridiculing the Indian film industry, you're in a way also ridiculing the Pak film industry. I haven't seen any Pak movies, but I guess they must be the same as Indian movies. So basically our film making culture is the same and shouldn't be compared with the west.

Paki movies are even worse than Hindi. That's cause only low-life types are prepared to act in Pakistani film industry. Much better actors in Pak dramas which are of a far higher standard than indian ones. the talent is in Pakistan but our stricter moral code means it is unlikely we will see any decent films coming out of the film industry. That's why you won't be seeing a Pakistani Miss World either though you could find one in any street in Pakistan. Too damn classy.
The very fact that Pakis talk about Hindi Movies in this forum means that no matter how bad they are supposed to be, the Pakis still watch them without being forced to.That is credit enough for Bollywood.
From the little that I have seen of soap operas on Pak TV, I think Pak telis don't match upto Indian ones in any way.Your sitcoms are far more sickening !!

Man to man , Pakistan is a better team compared to India. Big Deal,Anybody who knows his cricket can say that. All that I wanted to say, is that Indians can still win without being "STUDS" (the word again !!!) and without fixing matches.
Talking about cricket, I am of the firm view that Shoaib Akhtar chucks.
I am saying this not because he is a Pakistani and a successful one at that. But having observed him closely on TV and particularly the ball with which he bowled Fleming in the world cup, I really have no doubt, this man chucks. Its surprising why the Umpires have been indifferent on the issue so far.

Some 1 got very emotional early on when someone (no pun intended) said that Hollywood makes better films than bollywood. If you think that bollywood is equal to or greater than holly wood than name one film which hollywood has copied from bollywood, while the list the other way round is endless, together with the songs being copies of old Pakistani songs. I don't watch Indian films, but the few i have seen on tv has led me to believe that when God wants to punish his subjects he makes them watch indian films. Ramesha keep up the good work.
