**I must say I am confused by the responses. Half one to get me married off like some chick and the rest wish to do me in a la The Departed.
My concern is not for those who post to vent. By all means vent. My dislike is directed at those who offer advice who aren’t qualified to do so. There is a very basic fundamental truth to giving advice. You say and offer ideas which are best of the people involved in the situation. The one asking for the advice based on what the information they offer. On GS that rarely happens. People take their own view points and make assumptions on both the person and their view point and giver very very bad advice half the time. Divorce is always offered as the first solution not the last. One view point is taken as paramount and supreme which can not be questioned and leading to conclusions which impact different lives negatively. I have yet to see any thread where women in general did not offer positive advice in life 1. The worst aspect of all of this is that women who do give the negative advice are the first who won’t implement it themselves.
The one that just annoyed the **** out of me was this thread:

Why do your posts show an obsessive need to reduce diverse populations into generic stereotypes? The world too complex for you?
In this case you need your reading glasses checked. Nothing diverse about the subject matter in life 1, nor those who espouse such views. Even a two year old can see that.
I agree with CM on the point that people jump in and give half page advise like the other person's life is a Haseena moin's novel and doing dramay will get them out of the mess they are in. Saass ko yeh kaho ya bachoon ko yeh sikhaoo..........come on!!

I was basing my original comment on your original post, where you did not refer to a specific group with specific views, but rather painted a larger group as negative. That general accusation was false. But if you, like many other posters in this forum, are only interested in acknowledging the comments and posts that are the most idiotic or the most provocative, then yeah they have the quality of soap operas. And they continue bc they are the ones that get the most action.
