I've heard many desi guys say that, usually they think they're good looking/hot because their mummy led them to believe that.
so personally i find a lot of desi guys unattractive but mostly because they're big headed, not a generalization, i'm only speaking from experience

This is a very silly thread. Uni boys have little maturity and tend to think any girl with a half nangi body is attractive, and why you are paying attention to what they are saying, is beyond me. If they want gori girls then let them have them, just DONT make assumptions that every guy in the world has the same way of thinking.
Girls are not pretty according to their race but perhaps according to their features or something. What shallow thinking is this? We might as well just go back a few centuries and say that "brown" people are just genetically disposed to be uglier because of their skin colour.

Ghar ki murgi daal barabar or somefin like that...and it doesn't help that desi girls in general dress more conservatively than girls of any other race..ooo and what about porn? Not too many desi porn stars to fuel fantasies, I'd wager.

I hear this quite often-desi girls are generally considered hideous. Especially in comparison to white or Asian girls (by Asian I mean Chinese, Filipino etc).
What's the reason for this? What is it about their features that is so unattractive? I mean I know not every desi girl is pretty but I do see plenty of pretty desi girls who dress well and take care of themselves in my uni. So why does this perception exist (atleast amongt males in my uni) that desi girls are ugly? Can anyone shed light on this?
very wrong observation of your friends around.. I don't see anyone more attractive than Desi Girls.. White and other Asians, I am sorry, I see no attraction in them, even if you see the Hollywood actresses, most of them have some sort of brown spots all over their body.. (no offenses please, my observation) :@:

this is so not true. whatever ive observed at uni so far , if i see 10 desi girls, at least 9 would be pretty nice looking. I hardly ever see any cute desi guys though. most of em are short and look dirty with all that facial hair ( sorry )

I think anyone trying to place rank amongst which race is better in terms of attractiveness is to a large degree plain stupid.

It's partly that desi men are mollified by their momma's. They're raised to think they're the kings of the world and it usually backfires on them at some point in life. Another thing I think is being well-groomed. =/
A lot of kids in high school are going through that awkward stage in life, and I think it's especially weird for desis, cos they don't really talk to their parents about it and it just..yeh. I think itt generally takes a desi guy/girl longer to streamline themselves than a gora. I remember I was in 6th grade and there was a girl I knew, and every time she went to the locker room everyone made fun of her cos she smelled bad and was kind of hairy. Whereas there were white girls f the same age etc, doing makeup and spritzing themselves with body mists blah blah =/ Lack of exposure to beauty/sexuality etc might be one thing, idk. So a lot of desi guys go into university thinking that the desi girls with the mustaches and unibrows they met in high school, are going to be just that way in uni.

WRONG. Desi girls are most most pretty and attractive girls in the entire universe.

Ah yes! we are not blessed with superior genetics that allow us to have amazing bodies until were 45. Girls need to realize anorexia is not in. And men need to suck in their gut.
