When I login to GS I am taken to guest home/profile page. As if I never logged on. But I know I am logged in because when I click on a forum I see that I am logged in. Why ? How do I fix it

It seems to be a common occurrence. Please check 'save' next to login when you log in. Hope that resolves the issue you're having, br. Mirch.

i had this problem a few months ago
i dunno how i fixed it, it was so annoying though
what happens is some file which saves password thingies gets messed up and gets corrupted. To fix it u need to delete that file and start firefox and firefox makes a new file.
now the problem is i dont remember which file it was

here this is the issue i had try this method

the cookies.sqlite thingy can be found in this folder
C:\Users{user name}\Application Data\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles ihhnwh8.default
if xp then replace C:\users\ with C:\documents and settings\ folder
delete that cookies.sqlite file make sure firefox is closed, then when you open firefox again it’ll create a new file

I have tried clearing the cache method , that did not work. Since I use IE , I deleted all temporary content but the issue still persists. Any other ideas short of using firefox. I have nothing against firefox but I do not want to install two browsers if I need only one.

its not that big either the download is like 7.5 mbs
