Modern Afghani intellectuals 1947-onwards are living in socialist-tribal fantasy world akin to someone smoking historical-hashish (much more deadlier than the ordinary hashish so common in Afghanistan).
Thanks to this historical Hashish, Afghanis suffer from delusions of grand-iose just because some warlord was able to run amok in Indian subcontinent some 300 years ago.
Right now Afghani populace decimated by years of war and warlordism is dying like little flies, and still in the dusty hallways of "Grand Palace" the mayor of Kabul speaks like hollowed out baja (pipe) from years gone by.
Afghanistan's budget (if you can call it a a budget) is hardly matchable to a small city of Pakistan, and yet the Afghanis refuse to play nice with Pakistan.
May be it is tribal mentality, or may be it is "Russi jal gai, per bul nahi giya" (A beggar's dog barks as if he is king".
I guess sometimes a donkey must die while carrying tones of historical baggage. Sad so sad!
