Why again?

OKay reading the last thread one question came to my mind that we usually laugh on dirty jokes and we have fun listening them. But when it comes to shariah and we are gaining some knowledge about prohet and his wife’s life then we feel shy? I think “deen mein koii sharam nahi” because when there is a problem we go to doctor so if Surah Noor is telling us or some examples of prohet or Sahaba’s lives are telling us some things we can follow them but instead of listening or understanding those things we usually are either annoyed or shy about them.If you ask a desi guy he can disscuss everything with doc or his friend but he cannot disscuss anything with alim because he is too shy. Why?

Re: Why again?

unthinkable… you are thinking a lot these days brother or sister :hmmm:

Well, there is an aspect of respect… so just like we don’t like to hear about our parents in that sense, we feel uncomfortable talking about our prophet (pbuh) and his wives. However, those examples are given so we can relate to him as a human being and not as a god, that we can understand that even though he had all the emotions and feelings we have, he still followed the right path, and therefore we have a real example to follow.

Regarding aalims… well first of all the credibility of an aalim is very important. Unfortunately our we don’t look up to our aalims for guidance in every area of life because we stereotype that all aalims and maulvis are good for nothing… and because we don’t necessarily look for religious perspectives anymore.
