I don't see your above statement as a general statement, it was a pretty targeted statement.

A joke is a joke when you can humor the recipient, otherwise its an insult. I can call some guppy ulloo and he/she will laugh about it, you do the same to the same person and you can get a warning. It is expected from all the members to follow the etiquettes of art of communication and realize that they can be hold accountable for not just what they are saying but whom they are saying it to.
