but i've got all my stuff done from here almost coz im moving to dubai after...just need to get things sorted in pakistan now...im going in march so i can finish it before it gets realllly hot...

At least you guys have some degree of certainty. All I know is that I am going to paks in feb (got offered a job there) and will meet the guy and if we are happy the wedding should be in april (wishful thinkin) or maybe march (MIL IS uper excited and keen).

Now I'm stuck in a dilemma, do i take some of my bridal trousseau with me or what as things arent 100%. I think I will take my jewellery and some stuff and then come back later in the year for the remainder, he can come with me as i would need his luggage allowance too!!!!!

So girlies, lets celebrate the last day of 2009 for our singlehood, insha Allah I pray that Allah blesses us with barakah and happiness in 2010 as we become Mrs!!! (ameen).

rabia my wedding is in Lahore, im going there in march to get my clothes and all done before my parents come so they dont have to deal with all that...im pretty much set for all the stuff i need from here missing a few things but that will be taken care of soon as well...im kind of in that phase now that i just want it all to be over with...my nikkah was done in april 2008 and the ruksati kept delayin now i jus want it to be over with and hoping for no more new issues...

omg komal, u n i are in the same boat...i have been engaged since march 2008 :O n will be going to lahore in march again for wedding shopping...for the wedding in june.

have u looked into any halls???

oh so we'll be in lahore at the same time..
i looked into halls when i had my nikkah i have an idea to where i want my mehndi but my barat i m not sure yet...i'll probably go to madeehas- i had my nikkah makeup done at allenoras...so this time ill go to madeehas for my barat and allenora for valeema...photographers probably guddu and shani or shahnawaz (but heard a few negative stuff bout him)
and as for my bridals...nooooo idea...ill be busy wen i go there lol

^ we haven't decided when in march we will go (a cousin is having his nikkah in march, and that date isn't set yet, once we find that out we will book our tickets accordingly).

i really like guddu and shani as well...just hope there prices haven't changed since i get them last (abt 3 months ago).

its not a 100% but for mehndi we are going with Qasr-e-noor...for barat liberty castle or Qasr-e-zoqa (have u been there??? i haven't seen it but the price is much less thn liberty castle n i m thinking abt it)...n for valima i have no idea :) thats their headache ;)

have u look into maram&abroo for makeup?
what abt ur bridal outfits?

i want my mehndi at qasr-e-noor too...i had my nikkah at mughal-e-azam...i loved the food n decor...but my mom wants barat at pc...im goin to lahore on mrch 9th or 16th...im super excited for shoppin though...n really confused about bridal outfits....do you kno maram&abroo prices...

So far i got venue booked and invitations printed. Will send them out next week.

Mil is going to Pakistan this weekend for my wedding and walima dress.

Well i guess I can say i'll be like half a bride because im getting engaged inshallah on 4th April 2010 :) on my brothers walima in islamabad at Serena hotel :) hope it goes well (both his wedding and my engagement ! ) and good luck to all the brides to be inshallah..hope and pray this year brings alot of happiness and success to all the couples who will be united in this special and blessed bond..All the best everyone and happy New Year! :D xx
