Who's the greatest Pakistani batsman? Miandad or some one else?

Re: Who's the greatest Pakistani batsman? Miandad or some one else?

As an overall player (Batsman, Bowler and Fielder), I don't think we can compare Yousaf or Inzi with JM. THere is no doubt about Javed Batting, excellent fielder, and he was also a good utility spin bowler. He was a good judge of singles and good runner between the wicket.

I wouldn't agree with one of the comments about not having third umpire, in such case I am sure he would have changed his strategy too. And even without 3rd umpire, I will doubt if Inzi and Yousaf will not get out or get others out. All the run outs involving Inzi or Yousaf doesn't need third umpire, and I would seriously doubt if a home country umpire could save them.

Additionally, both of them deny any singles, and change 2s into 1, and 3s into 2 for batting partners.

Not as much as Miandad did. You can just see ratio of LBWs at home and away to decide this.
Also his record in West Indies and AUS( Great bowling lineup of his era) is very mediocre. He mostly relished Indian, Eng and NZL bowling a lot

Miandad averaged 47.29 v Australia (38.07 in Australia). Yes his average against WI is a modest 29.79 but then he did score 2 career-defining hundreds in the Caribbean in 1988
