And my counterpoint was that jihadis do not want to take on MQM head on right now. They may be suicidal but they are not completely dumb. They could have also targeted army or PPP before lal masjid operation but they waited and concentrated elsewhere.

MQM rallies are being held in strict security and it not so eary to approach a well guarded person travelling on road.

If Jehadis take MQM right on, what is MQM going to do? Send its mercenaries to FATA or Swat? MQM never has that much courage, they can only fire on unarmed civilians. Both these Jehadis and MQM i beleive have a common financer, anti-Pakistan afghan and Indians across the border.

Once again, FATA and Karachi are very different. Attack on MQM leaders and workers is very different then attack on army patrols.
