Who's ready for Ramadan

Re: Who's ready for Ramadan

Oh I'm excited for Ramadan...and Eid too. (Not gonna lie, I already picked out what I'm gonna wear LOL haha)

When I was small I used to think we could only eat before sunrise and after sunset during Ramadan because Allah Mian couldn't see us eating when there was no light and the sun went down. (Astaghfarullah, I know..but remember I was just a kid hey:D).

Re: Who’s ready for Ramadan

:hmmm: idea bura to nahin hai. par labs lab assistant supervise kartay hain, professors nahin :cb: i just hope my lab partners won’t be all confuzzled with my dissapearances

Re: Who's ready for Ramadan

Well look on the bright side atleast you're getting through it during your younger years as opposed to when you're like 50 or something.

Re: Who’s ready for Ramadan

same here Phati. well I havent picked out anything to wear on eid yet as my stuff might come from Pak (;)) but am excited about Ramadhan :yahoo:

Re: Who’s ready for Ramadan

It depends on how hungry/thirsty you are and when your lab ends…but you can keep a bottle of water with you and when it’s time, drink some water. If possible, eat ASAP afterwards.

Re: Who’s ready for Ramadan

they don’t let any food or water on the table :teary2: long live jolly rancher :shoaby:

Re: Who's ready for Ramadan

Itney barey purse kis din kaam aaengey?

Re: Who's ready for Ramadan

lol eat sehri in that case and just have 1-2 khajoor along with water with u (like Shiki said). You don't need to have entire dish in ur bag. As for me, I can face hunger easily Alhamdulillah (and I use this to my advantage, especially in Ramadhan). Even if I don't eat suhoor, I can go without food or drink even after Iftari (yes in "long" days too). Again, if you fear that 1-2 khajoor isn't gonna do for you then eat suhoor (which shud help u more than if u don't eat in the morning) and eat khujoor till ur done with ur lab and after that, u can eat whatever u want on campus.

Re: Who’s ready for Ramadan

shikki: hahaha.

heyyyy don’t say anything about my purse :emmy: besides school main bag chalta hai purse nahin :barbie:

oho you guys :smack: i’ve opened rozas in classes before  it’s just that this time it’s a lab and it gets a bit hard to sneak out, and you can’t have any food stuff on your table, so i’m just wondering how i’m gonna sneak out for 5 mins to open it. :hmmm: the rest is no biggie

Re: Who's ready for Ramadan

lol I have a lab @ that time too but it shudnt be a big of a deal. Its not like the TA's eyes are gonna be on you throughout the lab. And besides, if u talk to ur TA and explain to him/her that u need 4-5 minutes off during the lab, it shudnt be a big of a deal

EDIT - Explaining the situation to ur TA a week ahead is always better than just "leaving" during the lab (even if its for 5 minutes)

Re: Who's ready for Ramadan

We're not ready as it usually means increase in terrorist activities from jihadis.

Re: Who's ready for Ramadan

Do not eat fried stuff - pakoray, samosay blah blah. Eat simple things. Cut on oil and sugar. Otherwise after ramadan you will end up with more kilograms. And as ST said - acidity is the casue of the bad breath - avoiding these oily and fried stuff will definetly help you.

Re: Who’s ready for Ramadan

Yes…I know most of these and every year I say…I’m gonna do the above **this year **and every year I conveniently forget:( esp the caffeine withdrawal part…Where’s my cup of masala chai? :grumpy:

Re: Who's ready for Ramadan

All the girls should not complain too much about not being ready.

They dont have to worry about Taraweeh (in Jamaat) and anyway, they get a 5-6 days break during Ramadhan:D
