Creating and maintaining a garden around the house is a man’s or woman’s job ?
May be women are supposed to do light activities like watering , pruning , plucking , cutting flower for that flower arrangement and men do the heavy work like digging , sowing, fertilizing , spraying pesticides, mowing etc ?

In our house, its the man's job. I can water the plants maybe but thats about it. Its not like i have time anyways since i am busy chasing the baby away from the plants. She loves to play with the soil and leaves.

Whoever is interested in doing it and has the magic touch :D I end up killing all my plants, so I stay far far away.

whoever is into gardening should do the job.

ANY, I repeat ANY housework can not be classified as men's or women's job. Should depends on interests and availability than anything else.

my dad LOVES his garden so he does the gardening and my bro mows the lawn... only cos he loves driving the damn thing around....

Whoever's interested in gardening. My father loves gardening and taught me how to plant flowers and vegeteables, so now I'm happy to do it. My husband also likes a nice garden, so he'll do the more back-breaking work of mowing the lawn (though I will rake) and then we plant and maintain together.

I think its a good pass time and physical activity . Both should do it . As I remember once somewhere I read or someone told me that working with soil keeps you humble .
