I perhaps top the slowest PC category. Mine is a Pentium 233. anybody beat that?
I don't know what mine is (that's embarrassing) but it's new and it's very fassst! That's how I can go back and forth between my work and gup shup without anyone noticing (well, maybe they notice :)).
Mine is AMD-K6 233 about 3 years old...now thinking of buying NOT a desktop but a laptop fed up with desktop...lets try wireless internet and laptob computerrr!

Mine is a college computer... IBM Pentium III technology. Extremely fast.
Akif, you are beaten fair and square! i use a 486 half the while. i also get to use a P III dual processor 1000Mhz machine...
Queer brotherrrrrrr 1000MHz is not out yet...oh than again i live on earth.

Is it some thing technical?
As far as its working and doing OK, the speed doesn't matter much. I have a got a whole network at home of seven machines P90 to P550, all are working fine and OK.
no body can beat me in this category, being an MIS major I opened up my computer the other day which is a PIII 600MHz, I burnt my mother board installing a SCSI card, so I am "bay-computer" and on the Asra of university computers!

Jaawan brotherrrrrrrrrr,
didnt i say "dual processor"? it's got two P III 550Mhz processors working in parallel, effectively giving a clockspeed of 1000Mhz..
queer, 486??? No wonder you are slow!

I have a PII 300 with 128mb ram. I always think ram is very important in conjunction with clock speed. I mean, no matter how fast your PC is, what good it is if you have 32 or 64mb ram and it slows down the minute you open half a dozen different windows on Win98?
Well my workstation has 256MB RAM each, and servers never mind about them.
My Beloved Compaq Deskpro! Ohhhh!

Im Running Windows NT4 Service Pack 5. Pentium II 266 with 128 Meg of RAM, and networked with 2 other PCs here in my room. (1 PC running Red Hat Linux)
Hydbad. Univ. used to have an ancient computer, which in a typical desi way, they tried to run as long as they could ,and when spare parts became unavailable, it was gifted to science musium there. I believe, that would be slowest I have seen.
I’m working on a Compaq professional workstation AP-500 which is a PII - 300 Mhz / 128Mb /UW - SCSI.
Both home and work are exactly the same machines and what’s most important they are both supplied by my company

So speed is not always important ![]()
hmmmmm I have a Gateway solo which is my workhorse and tags along with me. For client meetings I take a Sony VAIO.
At home I have a Sinclair ZX81 which has 1K ram. I have the computer taped to the wall next to an 8 1/2 and a 5 1/4 floppy to remind me of technological advances...I am looking for an authentic pristine condition punchcard now.
I Have a P-III 450Mhz with 256MB Ram and a ASUS V3800 TNT2 AGP VGA Card with 32Meg onboard + TV-in/out, and a Adaptec UW SCSI II with 3 Harddrives ( 13Gig, 8Gig and 6Gig ) + DVD Drive and a 8 speed Plextor writer… hehehehe… can anyone here beat that.. ?? ![]()
I’m sure .. you can..

Pathwari is right… Speed is not always important.. You have to try to eliminate the bottlenecks… ![]()
