Hi could anione help me in deciding between the two … i had my Barat makeup done from Khawer riaz LOVED it and Walima done by Allenora by annie herself HATED my makeup uff i was soo angry hated the staff all frustrated ****** neways tht was a long time ago been 9 years now and i dont live in pak nemore..i did some home work on the charges Khawer is charging a whooping Rs70 000 without services im looking for something max Rs45 000 and yes makeup z for my bhabi to be :)…saw some good comments abt Madeehas and Mariam Khawaja and their packages are within budget plz do correct me if im wrong and if anione has better suggestions plz feel free to do so.
Hey.. We were havin trouble on deciding between the two too, for my sister's baraat n mehndi.
Since living abroad it does get a lil difficult to decide, so going according to the reviews we decided to go ahead with Mariam khawaja. 1) because her package seemd more appealing which included Pre-bridal services & mehndi application n makeup, 2) most reviews had mentioned she is better with red tones as compared to Madeeha's. 3) she does the whole lot herself.
I wld recommend Mariam khawaja... my frnd went to madeehas for her barat day few months bck and she looked so bad although she had nice features n is beautiful. n ive seen few of my mates going to mariam khawaja although they were jst norrmal looking bt looked beautiful on their weddings.
Mariams base is very nice as compare to madeehas. madeehas apply so many layers nd it looks as if ata mala hoa hy :p.sorry to say bt these days her make up looks like ths so dnt tk any risk!!
go to mariam staright away. ive heard shes very friendly n gvs proper time to each n every bride
amina raja did faha makhdom'S make up (asam ul haq's wife) and her makeup ws just ok. she had her studio in sara taseer's lounge.
You dont have to worry about how the bride z gona look on barat or walima if the bride gts her makeup by mariam khawaja. i'll prefer to go to her.

How much does Maryam khawaja charge curently ? and is it like madeeha's junior artists / senior artists and so on .. or she only offers signature makeup ?
Oh and does anyone have any idea what type of services are included in pre bridal packages ?

How is it possible that there are no other artists at mariams? hmmm doesnt make sence..
There arent mariam does the makeup herself...for baraat and waleema...she doesnt let anyone else touch her bride... except for hair and setting the dupatta and jewellery
also mehndi makeup is done by one of the girls who do the services/hair
ive tried both mariams and madeehas and im by far much more impressed with mariam than madeeha
if i lived in lahore i go for mariam's my fiancay told me he'll book mariams for my valeema make up
because he is from lahore . but i like also nabila and new looks

and i think Madeehas 25k her self and assistant 22 or 23

Mariam, hands down. My sister in law (hubby's sister) had her bridal makeup done from her, and I had my party makeup done from her - it was amazing. Mariam is the only makeup artist that works on the brides, no one else is allowed to. As for party makeup, the base is applied by one of her helpers/workers - and Mariam supervises/changes and does the eye makeup on her own. We both looked AWESOME, everyone said we looked amazing. Best thing about Mariam is that she knows exactly how to work with your features in order to enhance your beauty. You won't look like a completely different person or a cake-face. Also, the individual attention she provides for the bride is awesommeeeeee. There was no one else in the salon at the time we were there, and we were PAMPERED! None of the assembly line stuff.
A week before my sister in law's wedding, my friend got married and her makeup was done from Madeeha's - although she looked pretty, there was nothing especially awesome about her makeup. It was extremely average, her foundation was slightly cakey and too pale, and her eye makeup honestly wasn't even noticeable. And my friend said that Madeeha's has the assembly line of brides. So, yeah. =/

Mariam n Madeehas both are good. I had my Barat makeup from Madeehas n Valima from Mariams. Saloon atmosphere wise Mariams is better bcz there are lesser number of brides there.
Mariam Signature is 45k n Madeehas Signature is 40k
If its barat then you should def go with mariam. I've booked her for my barat as well.
Madeeha's is also good. Its well known for its soft makeup. I am having a signature makeup by madeeha herself on walima so yeah I've booked both of them :) . Mariam charged 45k for barat and 5k for mehndi so altogether it was 50k for me and Madeeha's charged 40k for signature makeup.

Since I booked with the bride, I paid 7k for party makeup. I think normally it's 8k. Oh and the party makeup includes hairstyling and nail polish of your choice.
