Who would you prefer?

THAT depends on the nature of one’s interest. Psychology is a kind of subject that, if well immersed, can become your life. Psychology (and Philosophy) is my life. Whatever I do, think, feel, I relate it back to whatever I learn.

For me, it’s not just a career path, it is a passion that encompasses all areas of my life.

That is the reason why connectedness on a deeper level where he feels the same way about psychology becomes a binding factor.

Comp sci/IT is not as overarching as psychology. So, the way you feel makes sense. I agree with you that being with a partner with the same field might be too limiting. This is where other interests come in handy. Our lives don’t have to be all about careers.

Also, when people talk about having similar goals and perceptions on life, I think they talk about having your major perceptions similar to each other. But many of the other minor beliefs are still different.

It is like having the same foundation of beliefs, but allowing the structures to evolve slightly differently.

You can never find a person who would agree with you on EVERYTHING and if you do, the relationship is not an honest one. I agree that life with “Allah mian ki gaye” would SUCK.

Disagreements suck too, but you learn from them.
