Let's hope the one I love and the one in love with me is the same person. However, if that's not the case then I guess I am going to have to go with the one I love...

So the person you love doesn't love you back; and the person who loves you, you don't love them back? Kind of idiotic, aint it. In this martian situation, I'd go with the one who loves me, so I can manipulate her into doing stuff for me, and make her run errands and fix me some awesome sammiches, without having to give a duck about her. Neither. I don't understand the point of the question. If it's an arranged marriage situation, why not just marry someone who also finds you compatible and also wants to marry you? I'd want to marry someone whom I love, who loves me as well. A one-sided situation would be a burden for both parties.

I've heard the classic saying that you should marry the one who loves you and not the one that you're head over heels for. And I always thought that was an idiotic saying. Why should such a "rule" only apply to you and not the other person? If one believes that this is the general rule, then the person who is in love with you shouldn't be with you either...as they should have married someone who loves them as well.

At least that person has appreciation for me and my needs. I believe that if people learn to appreciate what they HAVE, rather than pine away after what they WANT, the world would be a better place.
