Who would you marry?

We have plenty of threads on this topic but i’m just curious to know

Girls who would you marry?

A 6ft tall guy, very good looking, occassionally drinks, doesn’t offer namaz but fasts, kind to people, treats others well, has had a gf in the past, pretty well off, same age as you, can’t speak urdu, open minded, wouldn’t govern what you wear, polite

OR

A guy who is average looking, offers his prayers ( 5 times a day), a few years older than you, still in education, very polite, humble, never has had a gf, going to start working in a few months time, you find his voice annoying, understands and speaks urdu, he governs what you wear

C:

Chubby, short, very religious, wouldn’t let his wife wear English clothes, she has to wear an abaya when she goes outside, polite, kind, speaks urdu, sports a 2ft long beard, decent job, caring, would let his wife work

There you go :stuck_out_tongue:
Please choose one and give reasons

Thanks :phati:

Re: Who would you marry?

Reasons

Re: Who would you marry?

polite/humble/namaaz.....
polite and humble would mean has a good character......and namaaz is something good too....

average looks are lovely too........

the one with whom i click

and define good looking please...coz someone might seem "goodlooking" to you but not to me

drinking is haram, so that's definitely a huge issue... i have difficulty respecting Muslims who drink...

and 5 times namazi is amazing, but doesn't Guarantee he's a great guy

voice is important hmmmm

past gf...not sure how big of an issue this is...there's lot of context that needs to be examined

how rich he is is not a factor at all

and yeah... language is not an issue, as long as there is at least one language that we can both speak :D nai toh, thora masla ho jaiga, but i might still consider... :D

and yeah... banday ko kuch nai toh kamazkam Juma ki he namaz parhni chahye... guys who do not even offer Friday prayers, its a huge turn off...

just saw the controlling what you wear part... i don't mind listening to him about what i wear... what's wrong with him telling me what to wear... as long as he doesn't tell me to dress immodestly... :S

Re: Who would you marry?

second one ...

looks fade over age ..character remains till the end ..even in the grave and hereafter

:)

but on the other hand you could always change someone but then again for me piety would be important.

i admit i am not very regular with prayers. as in fajr often gets qaza but i keep trying. that is one thing that could be inculcated with time but the rest is something that is hard to give up ... drinking, partying ... etc

Neither.

No to A coz he wouldn't be a good role model for my children.

No to B coz he thinks he owns his women.

Re: Who would you marry?

Some interesting answers here. BBQand others good thinking.

Re: Who would you marry?

are these the only choices? cuz i prefer neither

can't stand someone who drinks dont particulary care abt anything else but drinking is like NOOOOO WAYYYY (choice A)

and i cant stand someone who is narrow minded either (choice B)

Re: Who would you marry?

No to both…coz mine is a mix of the above 2 :bummer:

I can’t be with a saint..coz I am not a saint, it would drive me mad if he is such a goody goody two shoes.

He has a few bad habits which I know he will change..

Re: Who would you marry?

lol yes these are the only choices :p

Re: Who would you marry?

MKD :emmy: u edited it after i posted:naraz:

Re: Who would you marry?

SOWIEE I was trying to make it harder for people :(

Re: Who would you marry?

I wouldnt be too keen on either one of them BUT if I had NO other option...I might choose A

Reasons:

Habits are easier to break than personality flaws

He can stop drinking and become namazi

I wouldnt list namaz as a criteria for marriage because ppl pray and still do disgusting things...they think it evens out or something

He cannot stop thinking that women are his property

I also have a past, who am I to judge anyone else according to theirs? I am more concerned about their present and future

Speaking or not speaking Urdu is not a big deal...doesnt affect his character or personality

Re: Who would you marry?

1st one…i need a tall guy, us k baaki sab gunnah maaf :snooty:

Re: Who would you marry?

I change..i will stay single :@:

Re: Who would you marry?

i personally dont see myself being with any of these cases cause i dont like drinkers and i dont like people who control want to control me.

just b/c he governs what you wear??

just curious
what if wife dress bad, does he have a right to say anything??

When I wrote this post, MKD's original post said something like "You have to do everything he says" ... so my comment makes sense that way... MKD's post was edited afterwards.

If its just about clothing, then I think I can live with that, I'm not so intolerant. But if he controls who I meet, where I go, whether I can do a job or not etc etc, then I refuse to live with him... if he really knows his religion, he should know exactly how to be a gentleman.

Re: Who would you marry?

well for time being A is attractive but he drinks sooo a big NNOO.... lol

and B is guddd cause at least he offers namaz and lil bit religious but y wuld he govern me no no no no...

well ya B is gud... cause life is not a joke ... its a reality need to be matureee lol

but agar aisa real life main hoa na to i think i wlll like to be SINGLEE
