ehsan bhai,Shoaib may be a slob and an arrogant school kid.
Beside Imran and W’s He is a regular kind of a person & a decent person compare to some of the members here with gali galouch and name calling.
I swear to God if it was an ‘Indian Player’ facing the kind of abuse and so called media and public trial ever since the Indians played in Pakistan, In all fairness I owuld have been as protective and defensive as I’m for Shoaib.
Like I said a ‘Zillion time’ Shoiab would not be a factor in winning or losing on this tour.
Its the 'cemented ’ techniques of the present talents of the squad, which will make us lick our wounds. (Yoyo-Kaneria-Butt-Yasir Hameed-Sami) they’r all technically wrong and just riding there luck so far,
I Hope to God I’m proven wrong in the end , and nothing will delight me more…Inshallah.
smoothie,,,its commen knowledge,,,it takes a good wicket keeper to get Yoyo stumped due to his stroll down the track after playing a defensive stroke. (Every ball) + a nagging line off cutter to force him onto the back foot, which he don't like but plays well also hands out nicks in the gully and slip regions + he plays the ball late. Seldom converts 60-70 into a hundred thus lady luck smiles on him if he does. He's OK for India-Pakistan standards though.
With a demented bowling attack our chances for the Test series are low. We don't have a match winner like Shoaib and on home turf the Indian batsmen will be on fire. So my guess is we'll lose the tests.
But we do have a chance to win the 1 day series. There were positives in the series in Australia and if the batsmen can click, we have a very good chance of pulling off a series win. The key is to control the extra runs we give away which has cost us many matches and the top order to put up a good start for the middle order to build upon, notably Afridi and Razzaq coming on add on quickfire runs.
Mohali is a dead pitch - so i expect a draw there - the best chance of Pakistan’s win is at Kolkata - fast pitch in the morning which will favor Pakistan - and then it will be more of spinners pitch(Pakistan edge there too) - not sure about the Banglore one - so what other doubts do you have that Pakistan can’t win? on paper it doesn’t look to be a winning squad but i think Pakistan can give India real trouble…
all you folks who said it’ll be a white wash this is what i was talkin bout when i said i have expectations from this team…the major diff b/w now and earlier is pak’s fighting spirit…pak showed the same fighting spirit in australia, and once again here…and InshaAllah, if they continue like this, pak will indeed go far…
3rd test Victory has put a spot light on Pakistan's lively & spirited contest eyeing a 'win'
in each test sealing the 3rd one leveling a 1-1 series draw.
I standby my comments on this thread and believe that shoaib discussion is more and more irrlevent now that he's not playing in India.
Seeing for what we have done so far puts Pakistan as a hot favourite to win ODI series by
4-2 margin.
However Bob and Inzi should not get carried away with too many changes to the present Test squad reshaping it to a ODI match unit.
Can some one please 'fill me in' on Shahid Nazeer's rankings ,, thanks
