I don't think Dhoni Sehwag or Gilchrist have quite the degree of craziness Afridi has/d. But then who would have thought anyone would score 100 in 37 before he did it!
Do they count extras (no balls, wides) that a batsman receives in the ball count?
Do they count extras (no balls, wides) that a batsman receives in the ball count?
a run made on wide balls would be "bye" so nothing for batsman, but a run made on no ball by playing a shot would be counted towards batsman's score.
A line call of No-ball (not the second bouncer in an over) is counted against the batsman. Wide is NOT. So, Mr Crum would have scored 100 in 98 balls (if the 3 no-balls were because the bowler over-stepped and NOT bouncers over the head).
not breaking it is different from not being able to break it.
there are a half-dozen power hitters in international cricket that have the ability to do it. the problem is that most of them have at least some semblance of a brain.
but yes, i don't think it will be broken anytime soon. in all seriousness, it isn't a record i would ever feel comfortable with an indian trying to break.
dhoni is the only one that stands a good chance... and thats only if he comes in at #3 which i highly doubt... so i dont think it will happen ... o well ... here goes...
Dhoni against Kenya
.. on a flat-pitch in the upcoming world cup ..
lol .. i think the sked is released... someone go check if the indians even play the kenya... :)
^ that's a bit counterintuitive. If he is going to score a 100 in 36 balls, why does he have to come in at #3? As long as he has some 15 overs (6 for him and 9 for the other end), should be adequate!
that record is a one off afridi is always trying to break records
i saw this programm about him hiself saying he tries to break records so when he retires he will be a legend
