So my question for the knowledgeable members is that who were the lower ranked shaitaans? were they angles too? and how did they sided ablees?

Iblees is a jinn, promoted to the angel level, because he worshipped the God so much.
Interestingly he believed in one God so much, that he refused to bow down for Adam.

To understand the concept, you should consult the etymology of the word Shaitan. Its root and different forms should make it clear that shayateen are actualy the opponents of the Prophets who are human beings.

:)...........Yes there are quite a few of those who sit at the side of the Shaitan himself when he holds court every so often.........
Shaitan asks all his subordinates (ALL from amoung Jinn) to tell him what they did to cause Man to disobey the Al Mighty.............
One by One they come and tell him their daily exploits........
first there is one shaitan ka chela who states that he made a man steal.......
Shaitan says very good.......but not really bad enough for high merit.
next comes another shaitan's chela saying he made a man kill another man...
Shaitan says that is better than the first but not too merit worthy....
and so on.
then this shaitan's chela comes and tells his exploit...
he states that he made husband and wife fight with each other and get a divorce...........
Shaitan says........that is excellent YOU come and sit by MY side.....:)
what you have accomplished will cause a whole lot of multiples of nasty things to follow from that divorce.........:(
