I'm all for education of women, no doubt. However, if the husband is providing a comfortable life for the family, then there is no reason for the wife to work. I view education of women as a safety plan; that is, if the family goes into a financial crisis then the wife is capable enough to find a decent job.
I know this is old school thinking but it doesn't neccessarily mean its wrong.
