A Pakistani woman was gang raped by 14 men in broad daylights under the garb of Jirga system. That woman had the courgae to stand up and fight those who violated her honor. Here we are discussing whether Kristoff sud hv or sud not hv. Get over it guys, issue here is not Kristoff and his stupid visa, but the fact that Mukhtaran Mai has become a symbol of resistence to the old system which refuses to roll over and die. Following the events very closely the following points are clear
- Police either willingly or out of sheer incompetence cud not establish sufficient evidence to convict the 14 rapists.
- State in its panic to protect its image abroad chose the easy path by placing Mukhtaran Mai under house arrest.
- When things were getting hot, they put her on the infamous exit contro list so she cud not travel abroad and address the foreign media.
- In exercize damage control and protect thy ass, Govt launches its we r so goody goody scheme by inviting Mukhtaran at the CM house and will also meet Short cut aziz.
Lets face it guppies, when it comes to sensitive issues such as marathon races oganized by Asma jehangir, religion column in the passport, Hudood ordinance, rape of a doctor in Dera Bugti and Mukhtaran Mai, the Govt has always chosen the easy path ie screw those who hv already been screwed, why not they r used to it, rigth?
