Bravo NS! instead of pushing government to take some real actions against these militants and send a strong signal to those who are taking advantage of this situation, all you care about is 17th amendment! :bravo…
it’s disgusting to see how these “leaders” are behaving in this crisis Pakistanis are facing as a nation.
He needs to give it a break. After partial resolution of “judiciary crisis” he now thinks he can twist PPP’s arm at his own will. He needs to see what the country is going thru when issuing statements otherwise he’ll be considered “out of touch” and lose any points he gained (??).
Well if you wanna report then you should report everything he said, this is a time we should stand shoulder to shoulder to each other, not just not leaving any chance to divide. Please in future don’t present only twisted views, its sad we don’t leave no chance to criticize. I am no fan of NS but its sad to see how we don’t credit where its due.
Ofcourse he was answering questions from different media people and expressed concern over the situation in tribal areas and said the American forces’ attacks in the Pakistan territory were tantamount to breaching its sovereignty.

Instead getting disgusted or whatever, pay more attention to what he is saying. There is a difference between "URGE" and "DEMAND". he is URGING government to requisit parliament session, whereas he is DEMANDING to abolish 17th amendment & has given 2 weeks notice.
I am sure you are not aware that after PPP, only PML (N) has the required strenght to requisit parliament session on their own (91 members in house of 340). Under Article 54-3, 1/4 (84 members) of assembly members can sign a requisition for a session, and speaker is bound to summon session within 14 days.
54 (3) On a requisition signed by not less than one-fourth of the total membership of the National Assembly, the Speaker shall summon the National Assembly to meet, at such time and place as he thinks fit, within fourteen days of the receipt of the requisition; and when the Speaker has summoned the Assembly only he may prorogue it.
I am sure as a seasoned parliamentarian, he is aware of THIS provision in constitution. In short he should stop using these lame tactics and instead of lip service show his concern by his actions.
^ And Musharraf used to tell the truth? Remember how he would claim responsibility for the attacks on tribes, only to be humiliated by coalition forces a few hours later :) Dont tell me you used to believe him back then?
