Now while we have always suspected the French don’t have senses of humour, up until now it has never been proven.
Okay they’d go sour-faced at the mention of Trafalgar or Waterloo, and turn their noses up at any vin that wasn’t a la patrie, and almost spew on you if you spoke English to them, but you just took those as genuine French characteristics and paid them no ill will.

Okay, the decision to have people arriving in a United Airlines plane may have been a tad questionable in the taste department - but to think you have the right to ban things that aren’t tasteful? Where would that leave a takeaway food joint of Scottish origins?
Anyway, United Airlines - which had two planes used by the 11 September terrorists - moaned and bitched about the planned party and a judge banned it for being illegal.
To add to the ridiculousness of the situation, United is thinking of filing a lawsuit against the nightclub in question.
Bloody cheek! Without putting too fine a point on it, one would have thought that United losing two of their planes on 11 September would be worth a lawsuit, not someone having a party!
