How does one get selected to become a mod…or rather what does one have to do, to be a mod???

The moderators are picked by me normally in consultation with other admins and the relevant forum mods. The criteria generally are how actively and positively the prospective mod has participated at GS and how they can develop their relevant forum. There are many other criteria's we look at and I also ask a number of questions of the prospective mods. Once a full picture is developed the person is invited to join the mod team.
