Sadiyah, The comment is based on some previous discussions where girls are staunch on having a ring worth a certain amount and if the guy is unwilling to spend that kind of money on just a ring, they refuse to be married to him.

I don't think a man, his commitment or his love should be judged by the amount he spends on you.

If you want to find out whether he is stingy, then see how he lives. Spend some time investigating his family and their lifestyle.

Just because he doesn't want to blow $10K on a ring, doesn't mean he's miserly. It may mean that he's wise and would rather put that money into downpaying the house......

It makes sense, thank you. While at it, I'd like to add that at times families do a good job at pretending to be all nice and turn out quite different later on.

But Honeymoon i expect it to be a surprise from him and he pays for it. I don't take a single dime out :D
