FF, my question was about the Motorola Phone Tools, as in how efficient this software is. Does it have any bugs, does it sync the data seemlessly etc etc

My sister in law has it, synchro has no problems. Ive rebuilt their pc with XP professional, seems working fine with transfer & all.

Thanks Malik. Ive had it fedexed to me. Will install and see how it goes. I read somewhere on another forum that Motorola softwares have badhazmi when installed Micro$haft Winblows.

OK installed the MPT software. Looks pretty nifty. I can now make my own ringtones to be used for the RAZR :rotato:

True that. Thanks for this info, coz I've not tried it, I just have feedback from her hubby. There was a software, a pretty handy software that cheegum gave me once, & I cant remember Xactly, but it looks pretty much da same.

it works fine (surprisingly), the only problem i had at first was most of my mp3s were 192kpbs, so they wouldnt play on the razr, which by the way is a very ****ty phone... Cheap smd technology at its best...

Well if you use MPT software to convert your mp3s to ringtones, it re-encodes them at 32Kbits. It doesnt matter if the original mp3 was 192kbit or VBR. And RAZR plays the 32Kbit file fine.

motorola phone tools work fine :) no problems...

...or u can just get something with Windows Mobile 2003 and above and just play mp3s as ring tones.

garbage phone... i had 3...broke em alll...fragile lil phones...do take care of em well
