*Who or what is to define our objective? *
**Before we can come up with a solution to this problem we must first address the issue of what is the correct source for a solution. The trio of Socrates, Plato and Aristotle do not hold the key to our quest. Neither are the answers to be found in the apocryphal books and scriptures of old religions that have texts that have been tampered with. And most defiantly the trivial hedonistic modern worldview has nothing to offer us in terms of answers. It has been forged to create an approach that actively avoids examining big (and even little) questions. As Muslims we believe in the existence of a Creator and Sustainer of this universe, Allah (Subhanahu wa ta’ala). Further to this we believe that our link with our Creator came through; the word, knowledge and information passed to Mohammad Mustafah ibn Abdullah, Rasool-Allah (Sallallahu alaihi wasallam). Naturally it follows that what we have been informed of through the Quran and the Sunnah should be the reference point for us to investigate what out role in this world really is. **
