Re: 'Who is your favourite writer / poet from Indo-Pak'
Novels : Umera Ahmed and Maha malik Poet: Ahmed Faraz, Amjad Islam Amjad, Perveen Shakir, Mohsin naqvi and many more
Umera Ahmed is a wonderful writer and I like her novel 'Peer e Kamil' a lot, but his other books are somewhat dealing with the same issues and same treatment.
As a drama writer, I like each and every work of Umera starting from Doraha to Maat. She is a wonderful script writer.
All the poets you mentioned are also my favourites. Her koi ek se badh kar ek hai. Do share your favourite Ghazal / Nazm by these poets.

LKK, its Chaon, not Dhoop Chaon. It was written by Shahid Kazmi, who also wrote Ehsas (*ing: Rahat Kazmi, Marina Khan), Nange Paon (Rahat Kazmi, Saba Parwez).
Innocent Smile if you are a PTV Drama lover, you must watch Chaon, it has a gr8 story line.
Re: 'Who is your favourite writer / poet from Indo-Pak'
Don't know the name of the writers of Ghazal/nazam.

hmmm i am actually a big fan of PTV old dramas. I haven't watched any of recent times but old PTV dramas were really superb and worth watching.
I don't know if this drama has its all episodes uploaded on internet or not.

Its complete. last two parts (20 minutes of the last episode) were previously not uploaded, but I've uploaded that on my youtube channel very recently.

Re: ‘Who is your favourite writer / poet from Indo-Pak’
Konsi Ghazal aur Nazm ke writers ke naam yaad nahin?
Dhoop Kinare was written by Hassena Moin, and Dr Younis Butt has only written sitcoms currently. Youins Jawed (writer of Andhera Ujala) is a famous short story writer and written some serious dramas like Patt Jhad and Ranjish.

Re: 'Who is your favourite writer / poet from Indo-Pak'
Rural Punjab and Pakistani literature
Ahmed Nadeem Qasmi is famous for his stories related to rural Punjab. His stories like Alhamd o llilah, Satt Bhirai, Kapaas ka phool very well introduce the culture of rural Punjab.
Mansha Yaad also written some nice short stories about rural Punjab. His novel 'tawaan tawwan taare' which was later adapted for PTV Drama 'Rahain' shows us the problems of younger generation in rural Punjab.
Mustansar Hussain Tarar's 'Des huwe Pardes' that was also inspired by writer's drama 'Sooraj ke sath sath' also deals with the story of struggle of three friends from rural Punjab of 1940s. The novel was also appreciated by famous urdu writer Quratulain Haider.
