who is your daddy?

below is a headline from dawn from approximately ten years ago. in that report, chief justice of supreme court of the time is begging for army help against the very politicians who today claim to stand up for the azad aduliya.

“Sajjad demands army protection for judges”

recognising the lesson from that episode, the current chief justice very smartly refused to sit on the bench which just ruled on musharraf’s case. chief justice being an ambitious guy recognised where power lies in pak and in order to save his skin, decided not to take on the army. and by sitting on the sidelines the chief justice was able to preserve his reputation of being neutral and thus further secure his job. the lawyers and the media who backed the chief justice were simply used as sheeps by the chief justice in order to get back his job. cj will throw crumbs for his supporters by hauling into court, low ranking gormint officials who periodically thrash lawyers and journalists.

as for lawyers some of them are in the jaib of politicians so they will fight on. others are simply ghundas in the mode of student union leaders. such people thrive in an environment of chaos and anarchy and therefore despise the army which has dunda and thus is the sole guarantor of stability in pak. joining lawyers in the hatred of army are jehadi lovers who want pak to turn nto aghanistan or iraq which will cause al qaedah to thrive in pak. and as seen from the lal masjid coverage, media sympathises with jehadis which is why it is completely anti-government.

ultimately though people opposing the government are their own worst enemy. like other sensible qaums, pakistanis despise junglee paunna of the kind displayed by anti-government forces. the recent display by lawyers and the press will drive awam, which opposes gwot, back to the government. safety and stability tops everything else including hatred of american. musharraf could not have scripted it better.

Re: who is your daddy?

I am sure I've seen this discussed somewhere here very recently.
