Who is who

Mr. Hafizur Rehman in his article Who is Who has emphasized that before the still left old generation dies it is time we arrange writing of our correct history. I myself could not read this article. Adil Ali Khan from Islamabad reading the article has pointed that the old photograph published with the Article was not of Sir Sikandar Hyat’s son but of Mian Manzar Bashir. Mr. Adil remembering that his grandfather once discussed that photograph agrees with columnist Hafizur Rehman that there is still old generator present with the help of which it is perhaps last moments to preserve historical photos etc and write history. Mr. Adil realizing as a true Pakistani has officer that his grandmother Begum Sirdar Shaukat Hayat Khan in her 80s still By Grace of Allah is still alive and who is a treasure trove of historic anecdotes and pictures can help in this regard. The gesture of Mr. Adil is very kind but he and columnist’s Hafizur Rehman must remember today we are writing “new” history. Today what respected Begum Sahiba and grandfather of mine who saw the partition would tell that would be a “prejudice” view of them. Today real and true history of Pakistan is what comes from other side of the fence like by Kuldeep Nair or our incellectual Majis. Last week my old grands first time learnt the first Quami Tarana was written by Jagan Nath Azad on directive of Quaid-e-Azam. I will not be surprised if in coming days we hear Pakistan was made by Jawal Lal Nehure, Quaid-e-Azam was on CIA pay roll, Major Aziz Bhatti was not Shaheed rather he died running away from battle field etc.
