hipititus B and its complication.
Politicians and their tax returns.
Aids situation in pak.
Structure of education in pak, and his recommendation.
Like I said, WE haven't seen the future, But I would love to be the part of his effort to wards my country.

What is common among IK and Altaf?
Re: Who Is (Was)Your Most Preferred Leader ..A Question To All Pakistanis
Imran has a similar advantage as Obama had. Being an outsider of politics. This allows him to talk criticize everyone and everything, without worrying about his own record, because his record just doesn't exist!
Re: Who Is (Was)Your Most Preferred Leader ..A Question To All Pakistanis
In the last elections in 2008 the official turnout was 44%. Where we all know half of it was because of unseen 'angels' (atleast this is true of urban Sindh and other places). So if we go with a non-conservative estimate, let say there were 35% votes altogether. I don't care how many votes are cast in other countries.
Now if 35% thought of coming out to vote and put their confidence in political system, it says volumes about our politicians. That too after nine years of dictatorship and the assassination of BB. There seems to be a huge silent population that does not come out to vote 1) because of fear 2) the political atmosphere makes them believe that a certain party or two could only win in their constituency.
If a referendum is held today (not like the one in 1984) and true majority of 66% of the population makes to the poll, Imran Khan will be the winner. If referendum is held today more than 70% will ask for pure Sharia law. Herald held a survey in year 2000 that resulted in 98% of the population wanted Sharia law.
Don't know why west is afraid of giving rights to the Pakistani to choose which system is best for them and who should rule (after reading wikileaks I think everybody is clear who is the king maker in Pakistan where NS praises US ambassador for appointing Kiyani as CEOS, yikes!).

There is resemblance but it looks some kind of evil has taken over the body of local Mr. Bean. He needs exorcist to take out that evil.
Re: Who Is (Was)Your Most Preferred Leader ..A Question To All Pakistanis
In the current lot I only see Imran Khan as the saviour of the nation.
As for the preferred all times leaders of the country, of course the founder leaders such as Jinnah, Liaquat Ali Khan, or Khawaja Nazimuddin come in the lime light.
The second Prime Minister of the country, Nawabzada Khan Liaquat Ali Khan had just Rs. 6/= in his account at his death even though he was a Nawabzada. The corrupted lot of today would have no less than 6 billions even when they are not in the govt. :)
Re: Who Is (Was)Your Most Preferred Leader ..A Question To All Pakistanis
Quaid-e-Azam Muhammed Ali Jinnah and after him it would be General Zia. After them i think everyone just raped pakistan and bled it dry and Zardaari is like the vulture to scrounge off the scraps.

After Jinnah, Liaquat Ali is the most respected leader for me.
Re: Who Is (Was)Your Most Preferred Leader ..A Question To All Pakistanis
actullay Liaquat Ali was the first prime minister, not the second.. That was a mistake to say second. Second was Khawaja Nazimuddin.
Re: Who Is (Was)Your Most Preferred Leader ..A Question To All Pakistanis
ZULFIQAR ALI BHUTTO AND on second thought ... Muhammad Ali Jinnah!!

Good choice! lmao
Re: Who Is (Was)Your Most Preferred Leader ..A Question To All Pakistanis
Imran Khan…
His very act of coming into politics is a major sacrifice (time, efforts and personal life) on his part. He might not be successful but at least Pakistan can boast a clean politician who speaks his mind.
His critics only can rant about his ‘colorful’ past but at least he did not rape the country and murder his countrymen. The person who should be most vocal about his ‘playboy’ days is his ex-wife. One only has to see articles, comments and even tweets from Jamaima Khan even now to see how much she cares more about Pakistan’s future rather than Imran’s colourful past.
Re: Who Is (Was)Your Most Preferred Leader ..A Question To All Pakistanis
Mine too was Zia ![]()
I liked Nawaz Sharif aims but after showing his returns only 5 K I really hate this guy. Now I’ll prefer Imran Khan who have a vision. Now a days only Salray Paid persons giving Tax and all Landlords, Factory Owners giving very minor tax.
So right now i’ll vote Imran Khan ![]()
Re: Who Is (Was)Your Most Preferred Leader ..A Question To All Pakistanis
No point in debating past leaders. Of the present lot, somebody like Ejaz Haider, Mustafa Kamal, Afrasiab Khatak and Ayaz Amir come across as good politician leaders. Of the top leaders, Imran has been very disappointing and Zardari has actually been better than expectations IMO.
Re: Who Is (Was)Your Most Preferred Leader ..A Question To All Pakistanis
Presently, Ahmet Davutoğlu, Turkish Minister of Foreign Affairs. The Muslim\Developing World needs more capable and talented leaders like him. Of the past, choice would be Che Guevara. In the Pakistani context....a selfless and visionary individual has yet to come forth. Leaders are not synonymous to politicians as the understanding of most of the response to this question seems to show.
