In computer science, word Algorithm is derived from his Latin name Algoritmi.

Ibn Sīnā (aka Avicenna)… his contributions to science & medicine have moulded the process and procedures of scientific investigations that we use today.
Although my knowledge is restricted to a couple of History/Philosophy of Science courses I took as part of my doctoral studies, I’m fascinated by the comprehensiveness of his 14-volume Al-Qanoon-fi-al-Tibb (The Laws/The Canon of Medicine).
