I've only come to know of these designers recently.... after i came to this forum...... so i was pleasantly surprised....but nothing i would wear unless ofcourse they made it in a ghagara choli / saree / churidaar style... which would be a huge seller if they did and market it in India.....

and I HATE MANISH MALHOTRA!!!!! There needs to be fatwa against him for ruining Indian fashion !!!!!!!

^ well he is doing a terrible job at copying !!!!!!!! all tht velvet and heavy materials......i don't know what he is upto... his trips to dubai are making him go cuckoo.........

^ Completely agree on Manhish Malhotra - I thought I was the only one who felt like that! Not sure what the fuss is about his designs. I think it has more to do with marketing and his connections in Bollywood.

Ritu Kumar
Abu jaani and Sandeep Khosla

indian wise I love how jj valaya reinvents his collection and thinks out of the box

Sabyasachi for saris hands down

pakistani wise Nomi Ansari has a rep for being rude and calling girls fat but the way he pairs colors and designs makes him a great designer to watch.

HSY isn't as exciting as it was a couple years ago but I still love his stuff.

Karma has had so many positive reviews from girls that I know and I like the youthful fresher approach to clothing even when it's traditional bridals to simple semi formals.
