**I think it is Andrew Flintoff. He is just amazing and he is probably one of the best captain in my opinion. What’s yours?

I will say Freddie is the best alrounder along with Kallis (Kallis better batsman and Freddie better bowler) in the game, both test and ODI, but he is not the best captain by any mean.

I think most of the English players (in present team) are way too immature (mentally) that is why Michael Vaughn or Nasir were the better captains, and Treskothic has to go back to mommmy!

Same english team under the leadership of Ponting or Smith will do much better. In present side, I will see Collingwood as a better prospect for future captaincy.

Younis Khan as best captain. I know he isnt one yet, but he will make one hell of a captain. His participation in the game is outstanding. Excellent fielding, excellent running, excellent batting (barring the recent lack of form) and an amazing attitude.

Glenn McGrath as the best match winner.

A - TESTS:

  • Ofcourse the more matches you play the more chances you have of winning the man of the match award.
    Hence the ratio is more important. Akram’s ratio of a MoM award almost every 6 test matches (104 divided by 17) **is pretty outstanding. **

  • plus some countries have quite a few match-winners in their team which makes it quite challenging and difficult for individual players to win MoM.

if your talking about who is in the present then I will have to say ricky ponting is a very good captain but from the past I will say imran khan and wasim akram

Fleming is perhaps the best captain in world cricket right now. As far as match winners go it is pretty hard to pick. I'd go with Ponting and Yousaf in tests currently but the ODI list is too long with plenty of potential match winners.

that would have to be ponting,his innings in the world cup final was amazing,he has played innings like that again and again to win australia big matches..flintoff has'nt achieved much other than winning the ashes for england.he got hamered by srilanka in the one day series.had an ok performance against india.
