Who is responsible

No no, it is not a relationship thread, please don’t move it there.

So, this dude in LA had a stand off with police after he had some domestic problem. He got his toddler daughter and uses her as a human shield for hours while shooting indiscriminately at police and neighbors (according to news reports). The police storms the building and shoots the person along with his toddler daughter. Now the family of the person is suing police for negligence in killing the toddler.

Is the police responsible or is the Dad?

Re: Who is responsible

The person who started this whole stream of events is the dad

Re: Who is responsible

WHAT!!! they killed the toddler in the shoot-off??? Frikkin morons LAPD. That;s so sad.

Re: Who is responsible

The dad..it is like the hamas scumbags using civilians as shields and then crying foul when the IDF, craps all over the area.

Re: Who is responsible

Ok, let me take the other side. Are the sharp shooters only in the movies?

Re: Who is responsible

^ aj, what the fk do you posit? frigging switch hitters…

Re: Who is responsible

dad is an idiot..

Re: Who is responsible

The father was a loser. LPAD could have done better.

Re: Who is responsible

These LA police men seem to take movies so seriously! Couldn't they lure him out with a speakerphone thing and give him a helicopter.

The father should have been protecting his daughter.

Re: Who is responsible

was the guy harming the kid? did he have any history of child abuse.. we don’t know i guess..

why did he fire at the Police and people? maybe cuz he thought they were trying to take his kid away from him and he probably didn’t know better to fight a custody battle like normal people.. or maybe he just wanted some harm to come his or the child’s way.. again we don’t know..

nevertheless LAPD had NO RIGHT to go in like RAMBOs and shoot the both of them… but hey let’s hope that woman is now satisfied that this guy’s dead…

i hate this free hand given to Police.. we’re becoming more and more of a Police state.. don’t they have to go catch some criminals and bust some mexican gangs in LA?

Re: Who is responsible

The father was intoxicated, and even the baby upon autopsy has traces of cocaine in the blood. Very screwed up family. LAPD has excellent SWAT, but it appears they screwed up.

Re: Who is responsible

PD bhaijaan, blood pressure sumbhal kar rakhaiN. Or bohat jaga ka'am ayay ga.

Re: Who is responsible

Where is Chris Sabian when you need him...

Re: Who is responsible

aj, the subtle art of virtual sarcasm is not a fleeting attribute. How could I hate you when I love you…you tell me..

Re: Who is responsible

More facts, apparently the father had a pistol and a shotgun, and he shot at the police three times, hitting one officer in the shoulder. Only on the third and final time did he use the child as a human shield. He was said to be depressed, and his business was failing. He was seen earlier in posession of a Tequila bottle, and had been doing cocaine. During the 3 hour standoff, a younger sibling was released to the police unharmed.

Sounds like a very screwed up situation.

Re: Who is responsible

the LA SWAT team has never had any hostage casualties until this one since it was launched 35 or so years ago. apparently a few of the team are going to be out of action probably permanently, voluntarily.

Re: Who is responsible

Yep a federal investigation is on the way.

PD Bhaijaan, you are a New Yorker and thus capable of loving and hating me at the same time.

Re: Who is responsible

^ AJ, if you don;t know..you betta axe somebody..

Re: Who is responsible

When’s the last time you heard of a hamas guy actually physically holding another human being as a shield to avoid getting shot?

On the other hand, there’s plenty of reports of Israelis scumbag so-called soldiers physically holding Palestinians as human shields when sweeping Palestinian areas house to house.

Re: Who is responsible

^ the hamas pussies hide among the civilians. what a pussy thing to do. but that is expected from arabs, I suppose when facing the mighty Israelis.
