Is it fair to say that Iman Ali is Pakistan’s sweetheart? I don’t follow Pakistani showbiz very much, but am aware of some prominent faces and Iman seems to be well-known and adored. I base my opinion on comments of her videos on youtube. Most comments are positive and unlike most other female celebrities, she doesn’t get called a slut and a whore very often.

i dont get the hype about iman ali.
she has a very dull personality, her skin is very very very poor, and yes i loved her in khuda ke liye but thats the only project of hers ive ever seen. shes rarely seen on the runway and in print she overly photoshopped :/ why do people like her so much
and atiqa odho is wayyyy tooo old to be considered pakistans sweetheart.
now when we talk about history then nazia hassan definitely a sweetheart for the ages.

looks like some people still live in the past....nazia hassan was pakistan's sweetheart when she was alive....but I agree Iman Ali is pakistan's new sweetheart. She has such a humble and down to earth personality. Its people like her that should be representing us overseas. :)

the title of 'Pakistan's Sweetheart' is reserved for Nazia Hassan just like 'Malika e Taranum' or 'Madam' is reserved for Noor Jehan.
Iman Ali can have another title if she likes...but we already have our 'Sweet heart' :).

If you knew Iman in real life you wouldn't use the words 'humble or down-to-earth', she's called her father horrible names on several morning shows. She's known for her uncalled-for backstage tantrums and extremely rude attitude towards the set crew.

I think of Iman Ali as a graceful and serious actress...somewhere along the lines of a Pakistani Audrey Hepburn maybe? I sure hope she does more movies though.
Now IMHO, 'sweetheart' is someone relatively new on the scene, fun and frivolous and there is no specific celeb in Pakistan who fits the bill. Contenders are:

Now IMHO, 'sweetheart' is someone relatively new on the scene, fun and frivolous and there is no specific celeb in Pakistan who fits the bill. Contenders are:

"sweetheart" is usually someone who is adored by just about everyone, and I don't think Veena Malik fits that description.
