This post makes absolutely no response to my last one claiming that you are the only one who is still saying that this is nothing but a big conspiracy theory against the innocent and honest butt asif and amir.

I am suggesting this because I fully understand what will happen if we dont make an example out of them....been there, seen that in case of wasim akrem and others.
Big difference between these two cases. That was an internal enquiry and no examples were made of guys except for salim Malik. But did Malik's ban stop Butt's satay baazi, the answer is no.
Butt, Asif and Aamir have been banned and a criminal case is hanging on their heads. I think this punishment enough to deter future satay baazi not only by Pakistani players but others as well.
so I do not agree with your suggestion. In wake of what has happened it is more important to put into affect a system where by new players are educated as to the dangers and are told of the punishment they will face, with examples of these three part of the education system.
Banning them alone will not solve the problem, just like Malik's case did not resolve the issue earlier.

Its because Salim Malik was not the only one involved, Wasim Akram was let free and I am sure there were others as well just like Kamran Akmal has escaped.

You have a point but banning (a good deterrent) alone won't solve the problem. Education (anti-corruption & anti-doping programmes, how to keep fit without taking drugs etc.) is the key and should begin at grassroots level i.e. club or even school level

Why are you looking at where the inquiry happened? One shouldnt have to look beyond the crime and regardless of if ICC has announced their punishment, PCB should proceed with their own. Their crime is far bigger for PCB to ignore and only take ICC'c punishment as enough punishment, as someone suggested above that it is important to make an example of these guys as a symbol for developing zero tolerance policy for future.
It is Important to create a system where new players are educated on this, But tell me if a new education course in any PCB academy is going to have more affect on future cricketers or them finding out how much these guys were made to pay for their crimes for their punishment from PCB/Pak govt by taking the player's assets/properties/bank accounts etc etc? I doubt if another course in PCB academy or any other educational program will match the affect that harsh punishment for trio will have on future cricketers

PCB has no credibility to become judge or the jury.
If they want justice to take place, they should start from themselves..hold themselves accountable for the way they handled or mishandled the issue. They all got away with it..no questions asked.
If PCB was a professional organization, the chances of players getting into this kind of crap were pretty low. I would be impressed if they put together an anti-corruption educational program. I foresee some 70 yr old on PCB payroll to lead this program though..
