Re: who here actually uses a nala-poni?
^ Same here, elastic is already sewn in.
And in any case, use an old toothbrush…![]()

Re: who here actually uses a nala-poni?
I have resorted to having trousers that have hooks and a few others with elastic .. dont really need a nalaponi coz its hardly ever used …
I think those who do have it are surely quite posh
you know like the brits who always have to have a fork by their plate , and they always have to have a saucer under their teacup… similarly we have to have a nalaponi for our elastics and nala’s ![]()
Re: who here actually uses a nala-poni?
first time me and the word "posh’ are associated ![]()
Re: who here actually uses a nala-poni?
lol.. man i can never find ours and resort to a pen lid or giant safety pin.
i use elastic though, so only if i need to do my dad's or hubby's shalwars.
the first time we went to pak as a family, my brothers were all wearing shalwars with elastic and when my now hubby found out he was like 'guys... it's not safe' and proceeded to teach them a lesson on the dangers of elastic shalwars... lol... i'm not gonna say anymore coz it sounds too dodgy when written. haha.
A "Nala Pani" is a thin stick with a hole in it that has a chain/thread tied to it which you slip the elastic or Nala/Nara through to put thru the shalwar. It works much better then a pin/pen/etc as the elastic doesnt get stuck with it. Now just wearing a Nala in shalwar versus elastic is another story. I always use elastic and have NEVER had a problem :)
^ me too never had a problem with elastic
Accidents do happen , and they are unpredictable. :)
