Why Microsoft had to do it? The look is for touch screen not for regular desktops which uses mouse and keyboard.

Ubuntu is a better alternative besides you dont get any viruses on linux either. Get a mac if you want to make your life a living heaven. I wont be upgrading my computer to windows 8 anytime soon. Unless they upgrade at work and then I’d have to support it. Other than that its absolutely horrid. I installed it on my dads computer and he mistakenly restarted his machine 5 times and he’s been using pcs for at least 5 years. I had to revert back to windows 7. Microsoft deleted

Unfortunately my husband bought a new laptop for children and it has windows 8 , totally horrible. We installed Linux but it is not compatible with lots of different fazool softwares which my kids use.

My old Civic was a 2-door 2- window car. My current civic is a 4- door 4- window car. Less visibility due to frame partition between front and rear windows. Especially blind spots. I definitely wont go for 8 windows.

Wait until you have a network problem or sonay pay suhaga, the dreaded permissions issue. I moved my files from one home folder to the next like before, but I had to do a clean reinstall since any changes i would to the new account or to any new “test” accounts would revert back on restart like nothing had changed. On top of that, have fun reinstalling from recovery as it has to download 4.7GB+ and I can’t do it on my connection. Even the “expert” genius that my original genius at the apple got a hold of couldn’t figure out **** and just told me to cut my losses and do a reinstall.
As for windows 8 naysayers, aren’t you happy that at least you have a touch screen friendly OS now? I think a lot of the new laptops have a touch screen, don’t they? But yeah, I did the whole Windows 8 virtual machine trial run and it is not worth the time and money to run Windows 8 on my existing setups. I might give it a try in the future, but the experience sure wasn’t the love at sight of Windows 7 when moving from xp and vista.

Windows 8 will probably go down as the worst os since ME. They could of at least added the ability to switch between the obviously touch screen based ui, and a more classic desktop based ui.

Because life itself was way more sweeter on a windows based build than it could ever be on a mac. I agree.

Eat 8 almonds every morning before breakfast. They r known to help with all windows related issues and help enhance brain activity.
make sure to remove the shells of those almonds before u eat them.

Windows8 is rubbish and frustrating, my computer was working fine with windows 7. Since I have upgraded to 8 it keeps crashing. Thinking of going back to 7. Worst window so far.
