i am getting married in november inshallah in rawalpindi pakistan.. i have already decided on my wedding outfit which is deep red with rust piping. no jewelry yet as gold is so expansive these days ...

Its okay guysss... im over it... right now its at a stage where im not sure if i am getting married thi year or next year. :s I know how messed up is that!! but im still planning, just in case lol!
Well shona i was supposed to get married in pakistan but my phupo and MIL have MAJOR issues with each other. My dad sed if they dont sort their differences out soon then ill have to call my hubby over and get married here on london, which i dont want. Its not fair on him to have all his family in pakistan! Soooo thats ONE of the issues lol! but whenever it happens i know it wont exceed May next year. Thats the latest my inlaws are willing to wait lol

well i am getting married on the 1st day of jan .. so its still really this year. i am here in lahore, just waiting to get done with school so i can start preparing. clothes are the hardest thing to decide. i have no clue what i want. i havent really started looking, but soon cz its just 6 more months.

im in december inshallah on the mehndi im wearing green aladdin pants with a short yellow top that has green and gold gota work on it with a yellow duppatta that has a thick green border with gota work on it and yellow khussa. me hubbys gna wear a plain whiteish/ creamish shalwar kameeze with a yellow and green muti dye duppatta round his neck and khussa. the only jellwery im gna be wearing is bangles, kaliras which me best friends are put on me and gajra which me sis in laws are gna put on me and also earrings made from real flowers, the same as the gajra and ofcoz payal which i loveee
on the wedding im wearing a medium pink legha with gold and silver work onit, the biggest high heels (lol) and matching jellwery i got made from kyles which includes everything like jhummar, nath, earrings, tikka, necklace and thick payals. real gold bangles on one arm and matching pink ones on the other arm. me hubbys wearing a light cream sherwani with a bit of gold wrk on the collar, matching khussa with the curly bit on top and a matching wedding turban/pagh thing! (i cnt help it i reallly love traditional stuff so im making him wear it!! still presuding him to wear a sehra.. u no the flowers in front of the face!lol!! hopefully i should get my way hehe)
and on the walima im wearing a dark purple lengha with gold wrk on it (it was a design by laaj in sea green, saw it in asiana wedding in the summer issue i think and fell in love with it.. got it made it pak!!) with matching gold jellwery with amethyst stones. hubbys wearing a dark navy suit with navy shoes and a light purple shirt and dark purple tie that has gold lines running through it, perfect match!! and ofcoz the biggest heels again in purple!!

i'm gettin married in nov and will be goin to pak beginnin of august to get my bridal and valima outfit made
i really want a very traditional look for both days, and love the long shirts that are in now, im gonna do gharara for baraat and lengha for valima
i also love the long sleeves that ive been seeing on brides... what do u guys think???
as for colors i am so confused, at first i thought i wanted red for baraat, but i want to be a little different so i was thinkin something with some pink tones, but not too light. ive seen a lot of beautiful colors in the bridal pics section so im gathering ideas, but i know i wont actually be able to decide til i get my butt to pak. and work with someone and see which color best suits me :)
how long does it usually take to get bridal made? ill be in pak for about 6 weeks and was hoping to bring back my jora with me.

wow!!! MashAllah sooo good to read ur post as you've given every single detail,which normally brides give after the wedding. You know what ur gonna wear, who's gonna put gajray, kalira's on you etc etc... great to read it. Best of luck for everything... May Allah make it happen, the way u want..

I'm getting married 1st week of December in Karachi. I live in Canada, so I can only get there 3 weeks in advance :( My mom and sister will be going in October, to get things ready for me, but it sucks that I won't be able to plan things myself. I'm counting on them.
We haven't decided on the venue yet, but it is a choice between Ramada and Arena Club in Karachi, which I haven't heard about.
For the barat I would like to have a deep red gharara with a touch of emerald green in it, and Turquoise for the valima.
For the mehndi, it will be something simple, as the groom's side won't be able to attend.
I hope I can pull this one off :(
