I don't think it has to do with height. Its just a matter of how comfertable you are and if you can walk in them, without tripping. It's all about the confidence, and that will help you pull it off.

I'm only 5ft 2inches and always wear saris. Its needs to be a good quality sari, put on right and worn with confidence.

I would love to get a sari made from India because they aren't made the right way in Pakistan. That's just my opinion.
But then again, Indians can't make a good shalwar kameez.

It's not so much about your height, but your body shape. In my opinion, sari looks best on a curvy body. However, even if you are skinny, saris can look good. Wearing a stiff fabric looks good on a skinny body because it adds shape, but I feel that for curvier women it makes them look fatter. Body-hugging fabrics emphasize the curves on curvy women.
Also, ensuring that saris are wrapped properly is important. Since saris are not really a traditional part of Pakistani culture, I find Pakistani mommies and aunties don't know how to wrap it that well. Whenever I am wearing a sari out, I go to the house of an Indian or Sri Lankan friend to get it put on by their mother (who wears a sari daily). A poorly arranged sari just looks bad.
^agreed. If you feel like you you'd look too short or stubby in a sari because you're too curvy or wide you should try draping it in the mermaid style. it's the most forgiving draping style for most figures.

Saree looks good on me but somehow I dont feel comfortable walking in it. coz the saree pleats comes in between my legs , u know what i mean lol. I get the them stitched by the tailor, since i dont know how to make pleats myself. May be the stitched pleats thing makes it different than walking with pleats u make urself ????

Well, saris have been worn for ages regardless of body types and heights. Even little girls wear them in India so, I don't think the garment is specifically made for a body type in mind. You have to feel comfortable while wearing it and know how to carry yourself.
