Who do you think is the best batsman and bowler Pakistan has ever had? (Both test and one day matches). My pick for batsman is Saeed Anwar, 'cause he is the first Pakistani batsman to reach 8000 runs in one day matches, with an average of over 40, and has an average of over 44 in tests as well. And among bowlers, I think it’s Saqlain Mushtaq, 'cause he has been playing for Pakistan for a long time now, but still has one of the best strike rates in the world.
So, who do you think is the best?

I would say Miandad also because he’s the best batsman I’ve seen bat for Pakistan. I heard Muhammad Hanif and Zaheer Abbas were better but I haven’t seen them bat, so don’t really know.
Wasim Akram is ofcourse the best Pakistani bowler ever.
There is no doubt in my mind that Miandad was a great batsman, but I rate Saeed Anwar as a better batsman than him, because Miandad played 218 one day matches and scored 7381 runs, whereas Anwar has scored 8162 runs in 221 matches.
Tests: Best Batsman: Javed Miandad [ave. over 50, 10,000+ runs]
Best Bowler:Waqar Younis (at his peak): 300+ wickets ** at a strike rate of 43 ** which is the best of ANY bowler since WW2 of ANY team!
One-Days:
Best Batsman: Saeed Anwar
Best Bowler: Wasim Akram [only one ever with 400+ wickets]
Overall: Best Batsman: Javed Miandad
Best Bowler: Wasim Akram/Waqar Younis…
hmmm... i,d say imran
wasim akram,
miandad was good in his times. zaheer was good too.
even abdul qadir was a great of his time
and dont remember waqar wen he first came b4 his back injury.
but if u have to pick greatest paki player of all times,,, i,d say wasim akram.
hes still a class of his own.
Best Batsman: MIANDAD...the only player, whose average never dropped below 50. Considering he played over 100 test matches, this is an awsome achievement. His one day record also speaks for itself.
Best Bowler: WASIM AKRAM...just look at his test and one day records. Amazing.

buddy.. as a opener u play more often and and so u score more runs. he averaged 41.7 in ODI (against 40 of anwar) and did not have opportunity to play with bangladesh, zimbawe and likes.
in fact, as an ODI player, i will rate salim malik ahead of anwar.
as a test player, there is no question of even debate. miandad is way ahead.
chilli.. be sportive at least in sports section. there is no need to instictively shout against every pakistani. not necessary and does not accomplish anything.
