who believes in kismet

Re: who believes in kismet

some very wise person gave me an apt analogy. You know like those books, where you can pick out your own ending..but which ever ending you choose, its been written out anyway?

Maybe Allah mian gets a-scribing on that night? or editting :hehe:

Re: who believes in kismet

so your saying, whatever we CHOOSE was written that ay anyway?

Re: who believes in kismet

yeah i agree with that… whatever path you choose an outcome is already written but allah already knows which path your going to take… tahts called free will, having the choice to make your own decisions… but kismat is different.

Its like saying okay im marrying this man, he’s in my kismat… whether i treat him right or wrong is the action based on my free will. Allah already knows whether i will choose to make his life heaven or hell but at the end of the day based on my own personality and choice he will either have a good kismat written or bad. If i do wrong by him and have an affair, i will be questioned and punished for accordingly. If he divorces me he is doing so out of his own free will… it is in my kismat that a divorce is written… am i making sense?! lol

Re: who believes in kismet

no. I am saying, we have a freedom to chose. Our choices are our responsibility.. but only GOD knows what is behind each door.

Its toooo late for philosophical analogies!!!!!!!!!!!!1

Re: who believes in kismet

so ermmm, if i begin an affair...or i divorce..god knew i would do this? i chose this through my own free will.....but if i dnt do affair or divorce, god also knows this too....? ERMM RIGHT?

Re: who believes in kismet

^ so you don't believe

Re: who believes in kismet

YES!!! (to Nadz)

:D

Re: who believes in kismet

yes nadz thats it.. theres two paths written.. its your choice which one to take but god already knows what your gonna choose because he is the all knowing. He knows whats in ur heart and mind and tests you in different ways, so that tomorrow when your questioned he can say u had the choice but u chose that way. On the other hand if u choose the right path HE will reward you for however hard and/or painful it was to do the RIGHT THING =)

Remember the grass ALWAYS seems greener on the other side.

Re: who believes in kismet

grass does some greener, i know that illusion...but sometimes, just sometimes, the grass may be greener.....

Re: who believes in kismet

nooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo lama. whyd u have to go back to right and wrong. :(

He doesnt nec know which one you will choose, but he knows what will happen as a result of all possible choices.

So there are two apples

Green and red

he doesnt know which of the two you want
but

he does know what happens as a result of u chosing green
and he knows what happens as a result of you choosing red

the choiceeeeeeeeeeee is yourssssssssssss (cilla black style)

Re: who believes in kismet

and with that. im gonna bow out and go to sleep

zzzzzzzzzzzzz

Re: who believes in kismet

ok i dont know whose right, hitchi or lady lama,.i mean islamically whose right.....?

Re: who believes in kismet

hitchki.. how can u say god duznt know... going back to his 99 names... Al Alim - The All Knowing!!!

He knows, Trust me ke knows what your going to choose.,... God knows whats in ur heart and mind.... If he knows the amount of stars in the sky and leaves on all trees then he sure as hell knows ur decision before youve even made it.... But he's given U and only U the the power of 'free will' to make the decision.

dammit hitchki y noww :emmy:

sounds fair to me......im confused though....so say we gets lots of rishtas where we have free will to say yes to any of them...but whoever we say yes to,is kismet,,and god knows this already? see this makes sense..but

say god gives you the perfect partner...( u think) and u both love each other, but then for silly/petty/stupid/game playing/juvenile behaviour it all goes pear shaped and you never speak to them again...due to ur own idiocy, does that mean this was also planned out...that this would happen....if your meant to meet me one day and we plan to meet, but that meeting never happens, does that mean its ourown free will we never met, or god knew we wouldnt meet?

Re: who believes in kismet

See if you break off a married relationship over petty reasons then your being very unreasonable. You have the power to stay calm, not nit pick and create problems, learn to get along. If you refuse to it will cause tension, and may eventually lead to u guys never speaking to each other again. It is a result of your own actions which lead to ur kismat.

Allah says that if you do good things then there will be barkat in evrything you do, this can also be seen as good kismat. So i suppose you can say in a way you are responsible for your own kismat by keeping the barkat flowing thru ur life. If youre doing the right thing, leave everything else up to allah and his decisions.

Nadz i use a diferent type of philosophy to add to this.. it may get more complex... When we eat, every grain of rice every tiny bit of food is already written for a person i.e in their kismat. So if im due to go to coffee with u and something happens then i believe it was never meant to be. Like that simple tiny coffee was not in my kismat. I go to the most basic of things.

If i desperatly wna go to pakistan, and parents dont let me then my khana isnt written there untill i do go.. sounds really childish an i myt get taken the mic outta for it lol but honestly thats how i think. Evry tiny little thing is predetermined... were running along thinking worrying that what if this and what if that but aslong as youre living ur life by making rational decisions and doing good evrything shud be oryt.

U see when i was havin my nikkah, i didnt know him (still dont really lol) but anyway i totally left it to kismat. If it was to happen it wud if it wasnt written it wudnt. Simple. Im not saying that walk into things blindly, jump off a cliff and say if i am to die i will if im not god will save me. With this concept you have to take into account COMMON SENSE. The guy my parents wanted me to marry wasnt langra or cross eyed or whatever else problems u can have with ppl, i found him attractive, he was educated and from what cousins have told me hes a shareef guy whose decent so i didnt have a reason to say no to him.

Believe in kismat YES but also make use of common sense

i hope ive made sense to you here lol sometimes ive got so much to say that i stop making sense and dnt get point across clearly enuf

Re: who believes in kismet

ok i get it, nooo its not silly. common sense is a must. BUT ifwe plan to meet, not for coffee just to MEET, but we dont, due to reasons say, i choose not to, or lie to you and say im ( for eg) doing somethng else, wen im not, is that MEETING then not in our kismat, or because of me being ridiculous i made that my kismat? GODDDD this may have already been answrd by you, but my minds ponderinggggg

Re: who believes in kismet

I suppose its not in our kismat coz if i had met you then i probably wudnt be eating dinner with my family or something lol... okay another way to look at it. If i had met you, it could have been the start of a beautiful friendship which would have led to us going out together again or sometime in the future at some point or maybe having dinner... you see where im getting at? lol so if im out at dinner with u in a few years time its coz that food is in my kismat that im eating it lol!!

i am sooo waiting for sumone to ocme and gun me!!

Re: who believes in kismet
