Wahabis are Sunnis.
A man by the name Bin Abdul Wahab appeared in the 18th century to rebuild the faith in Arabia.
Enemies of Sunni Islam normally label the Sunnis in Saudi Arabia as the Wahabis. Salafis and wahabis are the same. It's sort of a derogatory

Wahabi is a sect derived from Sunni Islam like Ismailies from Shias. They don't follow traditional Islam but very strict form of Islam.

Wahaabies are not Sunnis! Thats like comparing lizards with tigers :aj:

Wahabies claim to be founded in the 18th century by wahab.

But actually they have been around for ages… they were started by Ibn Tahmeeya :zobo:

And are actually an old sect who have done more damage to ISlam and Sunni’s than any Kaffir nation.

Wahabis are the ones that claim Yazid was also a Sunni when Sunni’s refute this as they have always maintaned Yazid was not even fit to be called a Muslim due to his later behavior.

Wahabis were sponsored by Impearlist British and continue to be sponsored by India. They are seen as a hardline form of Sunni’s when in fact they are a hard line form of thugs who gave us such famous followers as the Taliban and the Indian rioters and thugs of pre Partition India.

Please do not confuse the decent name of Sunni’s with Wahabis.

I am not calling wahabis kaffir they have some good traits but the big difference between Sunni and Wahabi is on the Status of Rasool-Allah. Wahabis claim that one should only seek help from Allah and take his name.

They ignore that were it not for the fact that Rasool-Allah gave us the message and his aal and suporters efforts we would have no faith today… Ignorance is the Wahabis foundation, Love is the Sunnis.

Wahabies are followers of Muhammad bin Abdul Wahab, like you said a man in 18th century... this 18th Century man may had good intentions for reforms but these seems to be poison for the Islamic Ummah since then.

Firstly, it created further division among already divided muslims, 2ndly and most importantly, their alliance with Saud Family to fight along with Brits against the Muslims Khilafah..

In Sub-Continent, Brits used Raza Khaniyat and Qadyaniyat to use the religious emotions to have the moral support from Brit Raj, in Arab Lands, this was done through Wahabiyat.

It is said that they have some good traits and i totally agree with that and would like to bring a comment of Imam-Tamimi which he made on Kharjies, that their collection of hadees is one of the finest... but that doesn't make Kharjies any good.

Wahabies try hard to call themselves Ghair muqalid but actually they follow Muhammad bin Abdul Wahab's teaching... the religion of Wahabies is perfect example of using religion for governing/ruling...

In Pakistan/Sub-Continent, there are Ahl-e-Hadees which are most of the time called Wahabies, but these ahl-e-hadees has nothing to do with the wahabis of Arabia, if i re-call it right, ahl-e-hadees are the result of Shah Wali Ullah's movement in 17 or 18 century..

Woah, where do you get this claim. Yazid is left for Allah to be judged, not us. Same goes with Hazrat Muawiya (RA).

Sure..So you are able to judge Shia’s, but you cannot judge Yazid even after burning the Kaaba :smack:

Tabarrah does not mean curse :). Tabbarah = disassociation.
