Who are these people

**

People are uneasy about the militant side of Islam, so you respond to their statements by placards expressing your desire to “conquer” Europe.

CONQUER? You want to “conquer” Europe and then you get offended when they launch “crusades” against you?

Oh God, please rid us of your followers!

Re: Who are these people

U don't want islam to conquer rome or the world? o r u a muslim?

And u've just said that they r launching crusades, they have said they r destroying terrorism u know the kind that can never ever be destroyed becuz its an idea.

Re: Who are these people

**conquer - **perhaps is not the right word

The message (as it should be) is that the truth (islam) will spread worldwide, and people will recognize (in due time) that islam is THE TRUTH and they will come under the umbrella that was sent to this world by GOD thru HIS Messenger(s).

I agree that the picture somehow portrays a picture of a mob of people, armed with swords and klashinkovs storming the vatican.

Re: Who are these people

Afridi786: I want all "conquering" being sought everywhere int he world to stop. It comes at a huge cost to the entire human civilization.

If you don't realize, these people are actually supposed to be protesting against Pope's assertion that Islam spreads itself by "conquering" other people. It's mighty ironic and unfortunate to be carrying around this placard. Uncle Stalker has said it very well, read his post and perhaps you will understand the point a bit better.

Re: Who are these people

our targetting isnt very good.

in an earlier protest against the pope's comments the protesters were holding signs says "Bush Kutta Dehshatgard" :)

Re: Who are these people

People get offended just for the sake of getting offended. I'm sure half the people who are getting all sweaty over what the Pope said don't even know what he said, and the other half don't even know the context at which it was spoken.

And yeah, what a way to "protest" by re-affirming exactly what was quoted by the Pope.

Re: Who are these people

I read what he said, it didn't even fit into the speech right, i mean he quoted sum1 saying bad things about Islam and Muhammad pbuh, and than said that we shudn't use violence to spread religion.

Re: Who are these people

And sir dig a lot, i know u hate me, but I don't see y the signs r so bad, conquer maybe wasn't the right world, but u think they r bad muslims just cuz of that, i mean u said God, rid us of ur followers, meaning rid the world of muslims, i mean if sum christian had a sign that said christianity will conquer the world, u wudn't have said nothing, i mean anything that a muslim does is overblown, and this war is about world dominance it has nothing to do with terrorism or anything, why do u think they r supporting israel, its all about strengthening their positions thruout the world, I mean y doesn't UN do anything despite numerous violations of international law by us and israel, n y does un do nothing when us and israel disobey something the un has said, think about it.

Hopefully, the next us president is a democrat, and also hope that U.S. doesn't invade or bomb anymore countries which i have a strong feeling they will or israel will at least.

Re: Who are these people

During the Danish cartoon protests, when half the country was being burnt down in the name of protecting the Izzat of Islam - about 97.99 % of the people involved in those riots didnt even know WHO was Denmark

Re: Who are these people

No, I am saying that it's unfortunate that we are being represented by the wrong people with very narrow and highly insecure views about the world in general and religion in particular.

It doesn't even matter whether what the Pope said was inaccurate or malicious. If Muslim scholars believe they are right, they should simply offer their opinions and educate the world why what the Pope said was wrong.

Responding by threats (yes, the desire to "conquer" Europe is a threat) doesn't put us in a good light. Getting angry at someone's statements only shows that Muslims are insecure about the "truth" and failing to find an answer to criticism, resort to violence and threats.

There are a lot of People in the Muslim world who know and act better. And this is why it's unfortunate that we are being represented by the goons in this picture.

Re: Who are these people

There you have it, the catch-all defense. This war is about Israel and Israel is "badder."

We are talking about improving our response to criticism, and "educating" people on what we believe to be misconceptions about Islam, instead of resorting to violence. And you choose to offer the Israel defense.

Should we tell parents in Muslim countries not to train and educate their children anymore becuase Israel is a bad-ass country?
