This is exactly what people need to learn. As for them using the name, so be it, but the Taliban ideology from the start was never the way as it is INSANELY propagated through media today.
The real Talibans who fought against russia and for their freedom are not involved in terrorist activities. Terrorists are just using the name of Talibans. Now every terrorist activity is said to be done by taliban. I dont think that they got supermen to perform such activities in the whole world. My opnion is that the main agency invloved in such activities is Mosaad (Israel).
So the Taliban were able to bring some security to Afghanistan and then they decided to impose their brutal will and way of life on the people, that is the real Taliban. The speaker in the video is Sayed Rahmatullah Hashemi. In 2005 he was allowed to come to American and take classes at Yale. When asked in 2006 if Afghanistan would be better off if the Taliban was in charge here is what he said;
“Economically, no. In terms of security, yes. In terms of general happiness, no. In the long-term interests of the country? I don’t think so. I think the radicals were taking over and doing crazy stuff. I regret when people think of the Taliban and then think of me…”

First of all, there is a difference between a Taliban 'apologist' and someone who seeks a better understanding of the idea at hand sitting 15,000 miles away.
Talks of Nazi videos, and violent regimes are popping up all over this thread by people who don't want to put in the effort to seek out whats really happening in that region.
If thats the case, then we really need to get out of this age of armchair scholarship.

Your seeking what's really happening in the region by posting a lecture by a Taliban ambassador and then claim that those who have an objection to it aren't seeking the truth hard enough? Do you have any more jokes? The massive human rights violations commited by the Taliban have been widely verified by independent human rights groups across the board and many of times the Taliban will admit to such violations as they don't see it as a violation. So what are you smoking?

He may have successfully blown smoke up your ass but for anyone who has taken the time in the last 8 years (when the video was made) to read up about the Taliban knows exactly what they are about. If you choose to ignore their actions over the last 15 years then yes, the title 'Taliban apologist' fits you well.
